How did it get to be so late!?

Off to bed, in my own bed for the first time in a couple days!  I had an amazing weekend and will blog it soon!  It feels like I somehow put about five days of living in two days, which I am perfectly ok with.

One of my favorite things in the world to receive is mail that is personal, and not bills.  Tommy and I recently got our “thank-you” card from Dan & Dominika, whose wedding we attended last month, and I was really happy to receive it, but I was also reminded that I had not yet blogged about it.  I really need to get better about it, and promise I will soon!

Here goes!

First of all, since it was a Marquette Basketball wedding, I was pleased to see that our Tommy’s name card said “Tommy Brice,” instead of “Tom Brice,” because I don’t know who he’s kidding about people calling him “Tom.”

So that was phenomenal.  Also phenomenal was the fact that since Dominika is Polish, they went with the European-style dessert table instead of a wedding cake.  As you can see here, it was glorious and decadent!

I didn’t really show it in the picture (though I could’ve spent tons of time and taken tons of pictures at this table), but there were even mini grand pianos made out of chocolate, with delicious toppings on them.  The whole thing was amazing, and I am somewhat glad that I didn’t notice that people were eating from it until a lot of it was gone, because I likely would’ve dominated that thing!

Once again, as we’re pretty successful in doing, Tommy and I coordinated our outfits.

That reminds me… We gotta go shopping for our outfits for Nicole and Paul’s wedding in Denver!

Part of the fun at this wedding was that I knew a lot of people there.  One example is a good friend of mine, Ous, that I just don’t get to see often enough (because he plays professional basketball overseas).  Anyway, here’s a picture of us!

Yes, he is super tall.  6’10,” actually.  And although he was among the tallest at the wedding, the average height there was definitely above average for anywhere else!

Here I am with Marcus, with Terry photobombing quire humorously!

Gotta love hugging people around their waists!  Haha

Here are a couple more (and better, in my opinion) pictures of Tommy and I! <3

Yes, my toenail polish matched my dress perfectly.  I got lucky there!

There were a LOT of shots at this wedding, including some that have ice flakes in them (hard to do!), as well as warm Jose Cuervo (gross!).

Here’s Tommy with Jerel & Maurice, and what is most likely a shot of warm Cuervo.

Ahh, the dollar dance.  Gotta love it!  Here’s Dan & Steve…

and Dan & Tommy, breaking it down!

After a little while, I had to start playing photographer, so I got all the MU legends of the past together for a photo.  I guess the groom was far away & some people had left!

Oh, there he is!

At Jamie & Derek’s wedding earlier this Summer (which I may blog soon, too!), Jamie pretty much launched the bouquet directly into my hands.  Dominika did not!  So, here I am, showing my empty, bouquet-free hands!

Then my photography continued, as I went on a quest to get pictures of Tommy with everyone he played with.

So….

Here’s Tommy & Wes!

And Tommy & Steve (probably one of my favorite pictures of the night)…

Tommy & Joe…

Also a hilarious picture!

And Tommy & Dan (who is showing how thrilled he is about being married!)!

As with most extremely fun weddings, when it was the end, we didn’t want it to be!

Here’s everyone dancing and yelling “One more song!”

They wouldn’t stand still…

Since the wedding was at the Harley-Davidson museum, there were a few bikes around for decoration.  This is Tommy and I being tough bikers.  Or, better yet, this is Tommy as a tough biker, and me being some chick who can never stop smiling.

Tommy got pretty creative with his photography here….

And since the DJ wouldn’t keep on playing songs for us, off we went to Murphy’s.  Here are our feet at Murphy’s!

I should’ve gotten everyone there to put their feet in a circle!

Anyway, I’m sure it’s obvious that we had a blast!  And, I am so happy for Dan & Dominika.  They are truly an awesome couple!  Can’t wait for the next wedding!

Mandie

Spring Break Wrap-Up

For some reason, I barely took any pictures during Spring Break…  This is regrettable.  However, I thought it would still be perhaps blog-worthy, so here we go!  I apologize in advance for the length!

Last Saturday, my sister Danielle, Tommy and I went to the Brewer’s game.  One of Tommy’s friends bought like 50-75 tickets to the game and organized a giant tailgate for it.  I should have taken more pictures, especially pictures of the whole group, but I didn’t know that many people there (maybe like a fifth of those there).

My sister is a senior in high school, and she towers over me, so I stand on my tiptoes in pictures with her.  I love her to death, and had so much fun with her.

I can’t wait for the next time we get to hang out, and can’t believe how fast she’s grown up!

Mandie

EDIT:  For some reason, the ten pictures that were supposed to be with this one, as well as the explanation, disappeared.  Re-do!
