Here’s my latest @sportsbuddyz video, where I talk about Deonte Burton’s Marquette Madness dunk and Saturday’s Badger Homecoming Football Win!

One of my favorite events of Fall - Marquette Madness was tonight! The dunk contest was awesome - very athletic team! I’ll be posting a @sportsbuddyz video about this tomorrow! Oh, and if you look VERY CLOSELY above my head, you can see @tfrozena & Tommy’s fellow Marquette walk-on royalty, Rob Frozena in the sweet seats! Hi guys! Miss you! =) #marquette #marquettemadness #basketball #mu #mubball #fanupmu #ncaa #milwaukee #mke #goldeneagles (at Al McGuire Center)

Soo this week, I have spent more time playing dress-up for a living (yes!) and going to basketball games (yes! and… surprised?! haha, I doubt it!)

As you can see above, in the picture on the left, it is my Mardi Gras celebration outfit. I was giving out beads for a promotion at Ho Chunk in Madison. Fun times for sure! I had pretty rad glittery eye makeup that was totally over-the-top for a normal night, but perfect for this promo!

Then, in the picture on the right, you can see that Tommy and I took my brothers to the Marquette game… It was their Christmas present from us! So much fun!

My sister was also at the game, but seated further away… It was fun to wave at her from across the Bradley Center… And she slept over, so we had the chance to hang out after the game and go to lunch today. No pictures, though, sorry!

Additionally, on Monday, I had the chance to work as a makeup artist and hair stylist with a beautiful young model from Germantown and a very talented photographer in Madison. Here are a couple pictures from that shoot! (and please go to my facebook page where the pics are hosted and “like” it!)

and…

Those are the first two edits… We did three different looks, and I can’t wait to see more edits!

I’ll hopefully have more fun stuff to post after the weekend, including a vlog!

If I had a Basketball Jones before last week, the week definitely took care of it for me!

Last Monday, we surprised Tommy’s best friend, Tyler, by meeting up with him at the Marquette-DePaul game. It was a ton of fun and Marquette won, which made it even better!

Then on Saturday, we went to another Marquette game, this time at the Bradley Center for National Marquette Day!

Saturday night, we were back at the Bradley Center for another game, and this time, it was Bucks vs. Magic. We were not quite so lucky at this one. Not only did the Bucks blow a ten-point lead to lose the game, but Dwight Howard was pretty boring to watch that night! It’s ok, though… We went to Distil after for delicious craft cocktails!

Sunday morning, we went to go see my little brother play basketball. He’s good! He even stole a couple times!

I think I am ready for a few days that don’t involve a basketball, but I had a ton of fun at all the games anyway!

One of my favorite things in the world to receive is mail that is personal, and not bills. Tommy and I recently got our “thank-you” card from Dan & Dominika, whose wedding we attended last month, and I was really happy to receive it, but I was also reminded that I had not yet blogged about it. I really need to get better about it, and promise I will soon!

Here goes!

First of all, since it was a Marquette Basketball wedding, I was pleased to see that our Tommy’s name card said “Tommy Brice,” instead of “Tom Brice,” because I don’t know who he’s kidding about people calling him “Tom.”

So that was phenomenal. Also phenomenal was the fact that since Dominika is Polish, they went with the European-style dessert table instead of a wedding cake. As you can see here, it was glorious and decadent!

I didn’t really show it in the picture (though I could’ve spent tons of time and taken tons of pictures at this table), but there were even mini grand pianos made out of chocolate, with delicious toppings on them. The whole thing was amazing, and I am somewhat glad that I didn’t notice that people were eating from it until a lot of it was gone, because I likely would’ve dominated that thing!

Once again, as we’re pretty successful in doing, Tommy and I coordinated our outfits.

That reminds me… We gotta go shopping for our outfits for Nicole and Paul’s wedding in Denver!

Part of the fun at this wedding was that I knew a lot of people there. One example is a good friend of mine, Ous, that I just don’t get to see often enough (because he plays professional basketball overseas). Anyway, here’s a picture of us!

Yes, he is super tall. 6’10,” actually. And although he was among the tallest at the wedding, the average height there was definitely above average for anywhere else!

Here I am with Marcus, with Terry photobombing quire humorously!

Gotta love hugging people around their waists! Haha

Here are a couple more (and better, in my opinion) pictures of Tommy and I! <3

Yes, my toenail polish matched my dress perfectly. I got lucky there!

There were a LOT of shots at this wedding, including some that have ice flakes in them (hard to do!), as well as warm Jose Cuervo (gross!).

Here’s Tommy with Jerel & Maurice, and what is most likely a shot of warm Cuervo.

Ahh, the dollar dance. Gotta love it! Here’s Dan & Steve…

and Dan & Tommy, breaking it down!

After a little while, I had to start playing photographer, so I got all the MU legends of the past together for a photo. I guess the groom was far away & some people had left!

Oh, there he is!

At Jamie & Derek’s wedding earlier this Summer (which I may blog soon, too!), Jamie pretty much launched the bouquet directly into my hands. Dominika did not! So, here I am, showing my empty, bouquet-free hands!

Then my photography continued, as I went on a quest to get pictures of Tommy with everyone he played with.

So….

Here’s Tommy & Wes!

And Tommy & Steve (probably one of my favorite pictures of the night)…

Tommy & Joe…

Also a hilarious picture!

And Tommy & Dan (who is showing how thrilled he is about being married!)!

As with most extremely fun weddings, when it was the end, we didn’t want it to be!

Here’s everyone dancing and yelling “One more song!”

They wouldn’t stand still…

Since the wedding was at the Harley-Davidson museum, there were a few bikes around for decoration. This is Tommy and I being tough bikers. Or, better yet, this is Tommy as a tough biker, and me being some chick who can never stop smiling.

Tommy got pretty creative with his photography here….

And since the DJ wouldn’t keep on playing songs for us, off we went to Murphy’s. Here are our feet at Murphy’s!

I should’ve gotten everyone there to put their feet in a circle!

Anyway, I’m sure it’s obvious that we had a blast! And, I am so happy for Dan & Dominika. They are truly an awesome couple! Can’t wait for the next wedding!

Isn’t my boyfriend cute?

In all the years I’ve been modeling, no one has ever drawn me. Tomorrow, that is about to change. I am super excited that David, an artist in Chicago (the one who drew the image above), is having me pose for him tomorrow. Of course, once I get my high-res copy, I’ll post it!
When we get back, we’re going to the Marquette game for National Marquette Day, then to dinner and out for Sam’s birthday (Rick Rude is spinning at 720).
Sunday’s all about recovery & Bikram (and I can honestly say I’m looking forward to Bikram)!
Looks like another great weekend is on the horizon!
