I stayed here a couple years ago, in a suite, when I was there for this fashion show (video), and I absolutely loved the location. It was gorgeous, and totally eclectic and unique. I absolutely loved all the history there, and it was humbling to be in a place where so many works of art in all forms (visual, musical, literary, and film) were made.
One thing that is always crazy to me about traveling abroad is that everything elsewhere is so old and full of so much history, but the United States is a young country, so it is rare, in my opinion, to have those types of feelings.
Another thing about Hotel Chelsea that I loved is that it is supposedly haunted. I didn’t have any experiences with that, but would definitely love going back to check it out… You know, to see if there are any ghosts roaming about… Perhaps Sid and Nancy?
xoxo,
Mandie
P.S. NYC, I miss you.
