Tommy and I did yesterday’s workout we missed on vacation this morning, and the plan was to do today’s workout when he finished work tonight.
I did NOT want to work out! I was exhausted. I felt so tired my throat was getting sore. And, my back was hurting me.
I have herniated discs in my lower back. The last orthopedic sports medicine specialist I saw said I had the spine of an 80 year old. Know what makes it feel better? Working out every day. If I take too much time off, it hurts. And it’s easy to get caught in a vicious cycle of not wanting to work out because it hurts, but it hurts if I don’t work out, etc! So tonight, I pushed through! It wasn’t a workout I’d want to have broadcast to the world - I took lots of breaks and was not as strong as before. But, “the only bad workouts are the workouts that never happened.” I’m so glad I did it! Now I earned this rest. Goodnight!
