I’ll drink to this!
I drink only in moderation (usually), and apparently that’s not a bad health decision…interested in the actual report’s analysis, though, since I suspect that this article might make it a bit too simple.

I do, at some point, plan to write a legit, time-consuming blog about the 3-day, because it definitely deserves it, and I’ve found that the blog I wrote (on blogger) about the first walk was helpful to answer questions for prospective walkers.
BUT, because we still (unfortunately) need donations to avoid being charged ourselves, I am going to paste an email I just sent out to my friends & fam.
Real blog coming soon, though, I promise!
Hello! Me again! And, I promise it’s the last time for awhile… At least until either we plan another team event (still trying to raise money!) or until we sign up for next year’s walk (at least some of us plan to again!). =D
Anyway, I wanted to send you a message for a few reasons…
The first reason was to thank everyone for their support. If you donated, prayed, came to see us on the walk, or encouraged us, thanks so much! Words can’t express how much it means to us!
Another was to be in touch with everyone who wasn’t able to attend the fund raising events and/or see pictures from the 3-day. In case you’re curious about all that happened, here are a couple links you may enjoy!
This link (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2755624&id=8605723&l=e6dcc2175a) is to the facebook album that shows pictures from the fund raising events at Shaker’s and at Star Bar. You don’t have to be a facebook member to check them out. I hope you enjoy!
This link (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2755642&id=8605723&l=f7091c0b7e) is to the facebook album that has images from the walk itself! This way, you can see what the five of us did during our 3-day/60-mile walk!
Finally, there are a few AWESOME silent auction items that weren’t snatched up at the fund raising event, and I’ve put them on eBay. Of course, all the money raised will go to the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure via the Mamalitia.
Some items (Thomas Kinkade collectibles, lead crystal glassware, a Nike breast cancer tshirt) end in about 24 hours, so time is of the essence! The three “biggest ticket” items (two leather Nike Marquette jackets and a replica vintage Pavel Bure hockey jersey) are newly-listed. Of course, if you live in the Milwaukee or Chicago area, you don’t need to worry about shipping - I will hand-deliver the items to you! Please check them out here: http://shop.ebay.com/lakergrrl34/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340
Of course, we are still accepting direct donations at www.the3day.org/goto/Mandie - next week is when they start charging our credit cards for the balance between the $2,300 minimum donation and however much we’ve each raised after all of the awesome events!
As usual, your direct help (prayers, thoughts, encouragement, donations) would be awesome, as well as sending this to anyone you know that might be interested.
Thanks so much!
Mandie
Here at The Music Trust office we are surrounded by hoards of good music on a daily basis. We decided we are going to take advantage of this and rip select vinyl cuts for your pleasure. Every Wednesday and Friday we will post a record of our choosing, be it hip-hop, funk, dance, or whatever else catches our ear, complete with a little bit of history behind the record, and quite possibly a download link.
For the inaugural post we chose none other than the classic Brothers Johnson cut “Ride-O-Rocket” from their album BLAM!! (1978).
Download the 320 here: http://www.mediafire.com/?vh9vafbve6ejh9d
*Note: Also contains the intro Rocket Countdown/Blastoff because it is funky.
This article and this article better be jokes. If not, I might cry… and then move to a state that is not Wisconsin.
That would be a shame, because I actually love this place.
Please let tomorrow come and go with no name changes of cities.
xoxo,
Mandie

A friend of mine, who, coincidentally, is the author of this blog (which you should read) recently got on my case about the fact that I don’t blog anymore. Plus, I know my mom misses it. And, as I said in my “header,” I have a pretty sweet life, so perhaps people want to read about it!
I didn’t really know anyone read my last blog, to be honest, but apparently it was more appreciated than I thought, and now I’m inspired to blog more.
That, however, isn’t going to happen quite yet, because I have other fish to fry…
(Not literally… For those of you who don’t know me, I am breast cancer’s enemy! I was the team captain of the Mamalitia, which is a group of people who banded together to fight breast cancer by either raising money for the Susan G. Komen 3-day for the Cure, or walking in it… Which was a 3-Day, 60-mile walk. Each of the five of us who walked committed to raising at least $2300 each, and what we don’t raise, we have to pay out of pocket. So, I’m going to list the donated items that are left after silent auction on eBay to try to make up for the difference of what the team has raised, and what the team owes! If you are up for donating, please go to www.the3day.org/goto/Mamalitia and please, PLEASE! share the link with anyone you know who may be interested in donating! Thanks so much!)

Mandie
P.S. You just gotta love how my parenthetical phrase is longer than the initial blog itself. That’s SO Raven! Oh wait, my mom didn’t name me that (she almost did!). That’s SO Mandie! =P Peace out!
